Hakuna Matata! Hey, it’s me, Simba!

I may not be destined to rule the Pride Lands, but I’m certainly hoping to rule someone’s heart! I’m an 8-month-old Dobermann with a big personality just waiting for its grand debut, and trust me, there’s a whole lot of goofy packed into this growing boy!

Like my namesake, I might need a little time to find my courage! New people and places can feel a bit overwhelming, so I’m looking for a patient, understanding family who will let me settle in at my own pace and show me that the world isn’t such a scary place. Once I feel safe and come out of my shell? Get ready for a toy-loving, bouncy, excitable boy with plenty of puppy antics up his paw! I’ll have you laughing at my silly side in no time.

I’m a smart cookie, too, and I love enrichment that gets my clever brain working. My dream kingdom would have a secure, fenced yard where I can practise my zoomies and burn off some of that youthful energy, followed by indoor access for royal-level snoozing. After all, even a future king needs his beauty sleep! A calm canine companion to show me the ropes and help me learn about life would be wonderful, while any introductions to small animals will need to be slow and supervised.

My ideal pride would have children aged 12 and over who are confident around big dogs and understand that I might need a little space while I find my feet. A family working average hours would suit me well, with time to help me build confidence, enjoy enrichment and grow into the happy, confident boy I’m meant to be.

So, are you ready to let me into your circle of life? I might not be the kind of pup who charges straight in for cuddles on day one, however give me patience, kindness, a few favourite toys and a safe place to call home, and you’ll get to watch my wonderful personality blossom. My happily-ever-after is out there somewhere… could it be with you?
