About Zena
Meet Zena, an adorable Heeler and Dalmatian mix whose gentle demeanor and charming spots will capture your heart. Born on November 17, 2024, this beautiful, quiet girl weighs 15.2 kg and brings a soothing presence to those around her. Zena is an outgoing and affectionate companion who loves to be in the company of people, always eager to share her love and warmth.
Zena is well-adjusted, walking gracefully on a lead and collar, making her an excellent partner for leisurely strolls. While she generally comes when called, occasional distractions may interest her more than coming back. Her interactions with other dogs have been positive, although she prefers a calm environment rather than being surrounded by overly rambunctious playmates. She's also proven to be an excellent travel buddy, enjoying car rides without a hitch.
Zena lived with a cat before, exhibiting a pleasant demeanor with feline friends. She doesn't have any food-related aggression issues either, making mealtime a straightforward affair. Be aware that she experiences a little anxiety in more confining spaces, like kennels, and shows some apprehension toward the postman.
If you're looking for a loving and loyal companion who appreciates a nice balance of activity and relaxation with her human, Zena may be the perfect fit for your home. Her bravery, loving nature, and yearning for companionship make her a wonderful addition to a family ready to welcome a four-legged friend with open arms.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
