About Lentil
Lentil is a female tuxedo domestic medium hair cat available for adoption in Clifton Hill (Melbourne, Victoria).
Lentil is a cat with a kitten's sense of fun and a very particular kind of warmth. She greets you with a headbutt and a stretch, trills hello, and has a talent for becoming part of whatever you're doing.
Her favourite spot during a work call is the back of your chair, where she sits up with excellent posture and watches the meeting like she has a seat at the table.
She's happiest in a small household of two or three people, where she gets to know everyone properly.
A little about Lentil:
🐾 Loves a laser light session and a game of hide and seek
🐾 Adores a day of bird-watching from the window
🐾 Big fan of nibbling pet-safe plants, and very into catnip
🐾 Weaves past your legs for contact, trilling as she goes
🐾 Lights up for scratches and cuddles once she knows you
Lentil's days have a happy shape. A play session to start, a long stretch of bird-watching and napping, then another round of play in the evening.
Though technically a middle-aged lady, she has a youthful, cheeky energy that people comment on all the time.
Independent enough to enjoy her own company and affectionate enough to seek out yours, she's low-maintenance in the best way. Gentle through and through, she's also a star at the vet, calm and quiet.
She chooses her people with care. Once she has, she's all in: laps, scratches and cuddles whenever you're up for them.
With new people, Lentil is cautious and curious at once. Offer calm energy, a gentle voice and a little space and you'll find she comes to say hello.
She does best as the only pet, in an indoor home without dogs. That's where her loyalty has room to land.
A calm adult household is where her company makes the most sense, and an apartment suits her well.
She suits someone whose days have room for a cat who wants to be part of them.
She appreciates a guardian who reads her cues fluently and keeps the day easy and even-paced.
Picture a mid-afternoon at the window, Lentil keeping count of the birds.
Then a quiet evening. A laser dot skitters across the floor, Lentil is off after it, and then she's up beside you, asking for a scratch.
Lentil is ready. The trilling hellos, the laser chases, the window watching and a small, calm home to share.

How does she go with new people? Give her calm energy and a little room and you'll find she comes to you.
Can she live with other pets? She's happiest as the only pet, in a home without dogs.
Is she a lap cat? Once she knows you, laps, scratches and cuddles are all on offer.
Medical notes
Lentil is in good general health. She has a soft lump on her tummy that her vets have monitored for several years, and her new vet can keep checking it at her regular visits.
An ultrasound showed the lump to be fat, and her most recent vet confirmed it can be left as it is. Lentil also had a dental scale and polish recently.
Her complete patient history is on file and ready to be forwarded to her new guardian's veterinary team.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
