Hershey is as sweet as his name suggests! He loves people beyond all things imaginable. Though very shy at first and a little withdrawn when he warms up to you he is all about sitting on your lap, watching your every move and being your ultimate best friend!
Hershey hasn’t had a lot of exposure to other dogs and this has created a fear that presents as aggression. He would be a lot happier if he was the only dog as this would remove a lot of stress for him - though he has previously lived with another dog he really would prefer not to!
When walking Hershey had been undergoing training - when other dogs bark from the other side of the fence and he can see them his initial reaction is to bark and lunge - after some training Hershey now has learnt “ignore” and will watch me constantly for direction and guidance until the situation is over - where he must be rewarded in big pats and cuddles and lots of verbal praise!
Child friendly - yes (but bigger children as young children move to fast and are scary)
Toilet trained - I can still have accidents inside sometimes
Crate trained - yes but prefers not to be
Lead trained - yes (pulls a little bit easily corrected)
Cat friendly - seemed unbothered
Dog friendly - no
Food aggressive - no
Toy aggressive - no
