About Lin-Lin
Lin-Lin was found hiding under a bush by a Cat People of Melbourne supporter, and he was decidedly unimpressed with being rescued! Although he's now safe and enjoying the good life indoors, he still makes sure his foster family regularly hears about his ongoing disgruntlement. This little survivor has traded life outside for regular meals, cosy sunbathing spots and the safety of a loving foster home, even if he's not quite ready to admit that rescue was a good idea.
At six months old as at 18 October 2026, Lin-Lin is a small but muscular Domestic Shorthair with a glossy black coat that takes on a beautiful brown sheen in the sunlight and striking amber eyes. He's a handsome, active, agile, clever, courageous, demanding, mischievous, playful, greedy, hilarious, stubborn and temperamental little character. Much smaller than you might expect for his age, he's a strong-willed mini house panther with a big personality packed into a compact frame. And he certainly knows what he wants!
Lin-Lin needs an adults-only home with patient, cat-savvy people who understand that not every cat wants to be picked up, cuddled or patted. He's still uncomfortable with being touched, although food can occasionally help him tolerate a little interaction. He gets along well with other cats and particularly enjoys playing and cuddling with his foster friend SubMeow-ro, but they are not a bonded pair. He may be compatible with some dogs, although this would need to be assessed carefully. A calm home with predictable routines, safe hiding places and plenty of opportunities to enjoy life on his own terms would suit him best.
Lin-Lin is a decorative house panther through and through: he prefers to be served, admired from a respectful distance and allowed to decide when he's ready to interact. His priorities are very clear: FOOD, FOOD, FOOD, his kitten friends, cat grass, sunbathing on the catio and enjoying the security of indoor life without having to worry about the world outside. Strangers and noisy things are definitely not his cup of tea, and combine the two and he'll vanish in a flash! He's a bossy little black cat who is endlessly entertaining to watch, and with time, patience and respect for his boundaries, he may continue to grow in confidence. If you appreciate cats with independent spirits and think a tiny, opinionated house panther would be right up your alley, Lin-Lin could be your boy! Submit an application now and find out!
Lin-Lin is a healthy raw/high quality fed kitten who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #956000019016027, source #RE101165). He is available for adoption right now!
