About Ace
Ace is a handsome 1½-year-old Staffy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Full of energy, enthusiasm, and love, this young boy is looking for an active family ready to help him continue learning and growing into the amazing companion we know he can be.
Ace is a friendly, playful dog who loves spending time with people. He thrives on human interaction and absolutely adores pats, cuddles, and being included in whatever is happening around him. His affectionate nature makes him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a dog that loves being by their side.
As a young dog, Ace has a good basic understanding of training and already knows some of the foundations, but he will benefit from continued training and guidance to help him reach his full potential. He is eager to engage and learn, making him a great candidate for ongoing positive reinforcement training.
Ace does have some joint issues that will require ongoing management throughout his life. He will need to remain on joint supplements and may require additional veterinary care as recommended to help keep him comfortable and active. Potential adopters are encouraged to discuss his ongoing care requirements with shelter staff.
When excited, Ace can be a little jumpy as he greets people with his whole body and lots of enthusiasm. Because of this, he would be best suited to a home with older children who can comfortably handle his energetic nature while he continues to work on his manners.
Ace has tested well with other dogs and enjoys canine company. However, any resident dogs will need to come to the shelter for a meet and greet to ensure everyone is a good match before heading home together.
At just 1½ years old, Ace has his whole life ahead of him and is ready for a family who will provide him with plenty of exercise, enrichment, training, ongoing care, and most importantly, love. In return, you'll gain a loyal, fun-loving companion who will bring endless joy and laughter to your home.
