About Phineas
Hi, I'm Phineas!
I'd like to apologise in advance if I inspect your shopping bags, supervise you unpacking the groceries, and immediately assume whatever you're holding is for me.
I'm an incredibly curious cat. Plastic? Better check if it's food. Ribbon? Better investigate. Yarn? Definitely worth a closer look!!! I've been told I'd make an excellent quality control inspector, although my first foster family do recommend keeping craft supplies safely tucked away because I can't resist seeing what everyone's fussing over.
Once I've finished investigating, you'll usually find me curled up under a blanket, squeezed into the tiniest hiding spot I can find, or watching the birds from the window. I'm a chatty little guy, and while I like affection, I prefer to be the one who decides when cuddle time begins. But when I do decide, I'm very committed to the cause!
I'm also a hide-and-seek champion. My fur is completely black, and my favourite hiding spots include wardrobes, boxes, the pantry, and under any blanket that looks promising. I've made a full-time hobby of it, and I'm very good.
I'm still building my confidence in new places, but my curiosity usually wins in the end. Every new sound, smell, and corner is another mystery to solve, after all!
I'm currently at the shelter waiting for a new foster home or a forever home with my best friend Parsnip. Parsnip and I would love to stay together, but I can also fly solo.
If you've got room in your house and heart for a sweet, chatty boy (or two!), my rescue team would love to hear from you!
