About MJ
Introducing MJ!
MJ is a Cattle x born 13th February 2026.
MJ was originally brought into us as a non-microchipped stray, however it wasn't long before we found her owners.. it turns out we actually had MJ's mum, Rollie at the facility recently and their owners didn't come to claim either of them. Rollie has since been adopted, but sweet MJ is now on the lookout for her new perfect family. We know that MJ's mum is a blue Cattle Dog, but we're unsure what dad's breed is.
Since being at the facility MJ has been quite the character, but such an incredibly sweet girl. She's eager to learn & eager to please (as long as you have her favourite toy as a reward). She's highly food focused, loves to play, loves to cuddle and has an excitement & thirst for life which is highly contagious.
MJ tested quite well with other dogs at the facility. She met two Staffies & two Jack Russells & she got along well with all of them. We believe MJ could be suitable to live with another dog, or be the spolit only "child" at her home. If you have another dog at home, we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
MJ appeared mostly unfazed by our resident cat, however she refused to go anywhere near her. We believe MJ could be suitable to live with cats in the home, if given a slow & controlled introduction to them.
Unfortunately MJ has shown signs of prey drive, so she will need a home with no small animals like chickens & rabbits.
MJ has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety since being at the facility.
Being a working breed, MJ will need lots of mental & physical exercise to ensure she doesn't get bored and become destructive.
She still has so much to learn about the world and life and would love to be in a home where she is included as a member of the family. MJ will thrive in an environment that guides her with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
If you think you could be that furever family for MJ, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Her adoption fee is $600 & includes her desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. She is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
MJ is currently located in East Maitland.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
