About Pepper
Pepper is a girl of many talents. She can announce dinner, entertain herself for hours, hunt down an unsuspecting fly and, when all else fails, chase her own tail. Yes, her own tail. Apparently, having a built-in toy is one of the great advantages of being a cat!
This gorgeous girl spent some time in foster care while recovering from dental treatment, and her foster family got to know quite the little character. Pepper was a little shy for the first couple of days, but once she felt at home, there was no stopping her! She's incredibly sweet, affectionate and always keen to be involved in whatever her people are doing. She'll happily brush against your legs asking for pats, follow you around for attention and potentially even claim a spot on your bed for the entire night.
She's not particularly fond of being picked up, but she'll make it very clear when she wants affection. And if breakfast is running late? Don't worry, Pepper has a voice and knows exactly how to use it.
When she's not busy supervising her humans, Pepper has an impressive social and entertainment calendar. She absolutely loves teaser wands and her automatic whack-a-mole toy, and she's been known to put her hunting skills to good use whenever a fly makes the mistake of entering the house.
She also lived with a resident cat in foster care, and after about a week, the two were chasing each other around and relaxing together. She became comfortable around visiting dogs too, showing that she can share her space with other animals when given the right introductions.
At just one year old, Pepper has so much personality and energy to share. She'd love a home with plenty of opportunities to play, explore and, most importantly, spend time with her favourite people. She's also had a minor dental procedure completed, and her new family will just need to keep up with her dental care at home.
Pepper is affectionate, playful, a little chatty and wonderfully entertaining. Whether she's asking for cuddles, organising a game of chase or getting distracted by her own tail, life with this little girl is unlikely to be boring. And somewhere between all that mischief, she's sure to find plenty of time to love you too.
We encourage you to come and meet Pepper at our North Melbourne shelter as soon as possible, as our cats cannot be placed on hold.
