About Angelica
Angelica has two very important rules for making friends: please don't sneak up on her, and if you happen to have salmon-flavoured Churu, you're already off to an excellent start!
This adorable little tabby is only four months old, and she's slowly discovering that the world isn't quite as scary as it first seemed.
When Angelica first arrived at our shelter as a stray, she was a very frightened little kitten who preferred hiding away from all the unfamiliar sights and sounds. But a trip to foster care gave her the chance to show us a completely different side of herself. Within just a few days, she started coming out of her shell, exploring her surroundings and discovering that people could actually be pretty wonderful!
Her foster carer describes Angelica as a playful, chatty little girl who loves just about every toy she can get her paws on. She's also quite the affection seeker once she feels safe! She began greeting her foster carer when they came home, following them around and even coming out of her carrier to ask for more pats. She prefers keeping all four paws on the ground, but she's more than happy to enjoy some lovely attention on her own terms. And if she needs a little encouragement, salmon Churu seems to work wonders!
Angelica is still learning to trust unfamiliar people, and sudden approaches can sometimes earn a little hiss. But give her some space, approach gently and let her realise she's safe, and her sweet personality starts to shine through surprisingly quickly.
She'll need a patient family who can give her a quiet room to settle into, plenty of playtime and the freedom to build her confidence at her own pace. Her foster carer only had her for two weeks and was already seeing such lovely progress. Just imagine how much more this little girl could blossom in a permanent home!
Angelica is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment.
