About Meg
Meg is a female long-haired cat available for adoption in Queanbeyan West (Canberra Region, New South Wales).
Meg is a gentle, affectionate cat whose favourite place is a lap. She climbs up, rests her paws on your chest and gives you a head bump to say hello.
She's friendly and playful with the people she knows, and she loves attention, a good brush and a cuddle. She is low-maintenance company, content with her routine and her favourite spots.
She suits someone whose days are quiet and spent at home, with a lap on offer and a calm rhythm to share.
A little about Meg:
🐾 Adores a brush, a cuddle and a lap to settle on
🐾 Loves rubbing her face on you to say you're hers
🐾 Big fan of her scratching posts and her cat tower
🐾 Lights up in her enclosed catio, stretched out in the fresh air
🐾 Keeps her favourite hiding spots for when visitors arrive
Meg's days move between her beds, her cat tower and her catio. She has food and water on hand and eats at an easy pace, so she's easy company to share a home with.
Her affection is specific and deliberate. A face rub against your hand. A head bump to the chest. A climb into your lap, then a settle that tells you she means it.
She's playful enough to keep a toy interesting and gentle enough to curl up for the afternoon.
With new people, Meg takes a considered approach. She watches from a favourite hiding spot and comes out with some quiet encouragement.
Give her space to set the pace and you'll find she shows up. That's when the lap and the head bumps arrive.
Meg suits a calm household with adult company, where there's someone home more often than not. She's at her best in a home without dogs, where her world stays peaceful.
An indoor home with a catio or enclosed outdoor space suits her well. A guardian who enjoys a long-haired girl who loves her brush time will be right at home with Meg.
Picture an easy afternoon. Meg stretched out in the catio, then trotting inside to climb onto your lap for a brush.
Her scratching posts and cat tower are her favourite fixtures, and a guardian who keeps them close will have a happy girl.
Meg is ready. The head bumps, the brush, the gentle company and a lap to call her own.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
