About Freddy! ๐พ
๐๐ป MEET FREDDY โ OUR LITTLE HALLOWEEN DREAM! ๐ป๐
๐งก Looking for a puppy with a beautiful nature and a whole lot of growing to do? Meet Freddy! This gorgeous, gangly boy might have a Halloween-themed name, but there's absolutely nothing scary about him! ๐พ๐
๐ FREDDY'S DETAILS
๐ถ Breed: Suspected Greyhound x Bull Arab
๐ Age: Approximately 5 months
โ๏ธ Weight: 18kg and currently underweight
๐ก Impounded: 23/10 as a stray
๐
Ready for his new home: 13/11
๐ฐ Adoption fee: $450
Freddy arrived at the pound very underweight, and sadly, his history is unknown. At 18kg already, he's expected to grow considerably! But don't picture a chunky, muscular dog. Freddy is likely to mature into a tall, lean, long-legged boy with that adorable gangly, giraffe-like look! ๐ฆ๐
๐ A PUPPY WHO LOVES OTHER DOGS!
Freddy is an absolute sweetheart when meeting other dogs. He's very submissive, social and non-reactive, with no signs of aggression observed in our care.
He loves playing with his canine friends and would much rather have a buddy to hang out with than entertain himself all day!
๐พ Ideally, Freddy's new home would have:
๐ก Someone home most of the day or a work-from-home family
๐ A friendly, compatible canine companion if his humans are away at work
๐ Ideally, a friendly, desexed female dog, subject to a successful meet and greet
He's still very much a puppy, and having a suitable doggy friend could make a huge difference to his happiness and confidence.
๐ฆฎ LOOK AT THOSE MANNERS!
For such a young boy, Freddy is already off to a wonderful start!
โจ Walks beautifully on a harness and lead
โจ Squats to toilet rather than cocking his leg
โจ Not destructive with his toys
โจ Loves playing with other dogs
โจ Has a gentle, submissive nature
At around five months old, he's at the perfect age for puppy school and further training. His new family will have a wonderful opportunity to help him learn, grow and become the best version of himself. ๐๐ถ
๐ฑ WHAT ABOUT CATS?
Freddy is still young enough that he may be able to learn to live with cats through slow, carefully managed introductions. However, with his suspected breed mix, cat compatibility cannot be guaranteed, so any home with cats would need to be prepared to manage introductions safely and supervise interactions.
๐ก THE HOME FREDDY NEEDS
Freddy is going to grow into a big boy, and he'll need a home ready for all the fun (and responsibility!) that comes with raising a puppy.
๐ A secure yard with high fencing is essential.
๐ฑ A grassed yard where he can safely play and stretch those long legs.
โค๏ธ A family who can provide plenty of company, guidance and affection.
๐ Ideally, a suitable doggy companion if his humans are out during the day.
๐ซ Freddy is not suited to apartment living and won't thrive being left alone for long periods without companionship.
๐๐ค DON'T LET THIS LITTLE FREDDY KRUEGER SLEEP ON YOUR CHANCE! ๐ค๐
Okay, his name might be Freddy, but the only nightmares he'll be giving you are the puppy ones where you can't believe how quickly he's growing! ๐๐ฆ
This sweet boy deserves a fresh start after arriving at the pound as a stray. He's got a lovely temperament, a fantastic start with other dogs and so much potential ahead of him.
If you're ready to welcome a gangly, long-legged puppy into your family and commit to helping him grow into a wonderful adult dog, Freddy could be your perfect match! ๐งก
