If you're looking for a gentle giant with a heart as big as her paws, then Doofy might just be your perfect match.

At 3.5 years old, Doofy is a beautiful Great Dane cross who absolutely adores being with her people. Like a true Dane, she has no concept of personal space and firmly believes she is lap-sized, happily snuggling up as close as possible whenever she gets the chance. Whether she's soaking up ear scratches, lounging on the balcony watching the world go by, or curled up beside you in the evening, Doofy simply loves being part of the family.

Despite her impressive size, Doofy is a calm and easy-going girl. She walks beautifully on lead, enjoys getting out and about for her daily strolls, and then is more than happy to spend the rest of the day relaxing. Most of her time is dedicated to her favourite hobbies: napping, supervising the neighbourhood from the balcony, and seeking out affection from her humans.

Doofy gets along well with other dogs and has been around children, making her a wonderful companion for many different types of households.

Special Considerations
Like many dogs, Doofy is extremely frightened by fireworks and is likely to be equally concerned by thunderstorms. During these stressful events, she can become quite the escape artist and has been known to clear fences over five feet high when frightened.

Outside of these situations, Doofy happily stays in the yard and is not generally prone to escaping. However, her future family will need to have a management plan in place for fireworks, storms, and other loud noises. This may mean bringing her inside, providing a secure safe space, and ensuring she is safely contained during periods when thunderstorms or fireworks are expected.

The Perfect Home
Doofy would love a home where she can be a valued member of the family, enjoy daily walks, and spend her evenings cuddled up with her people. She would be best suited to a home where her humans are home more often than not, or where she has a doggy friend for company, and ideally 6 foot fencing. In return, she will reward her adopters with endless affection, gentle companionship, and plenty of oversized Dane cuddles.
