Lady Dior

Our beautiful big girl is now ready to find her forever home. She's the most loving , affectionate , chunky and incredibly sweet girl you absolutely can't help falling in love with our big Blue Staffy x girl,
Please note Lady Dior is not a first time dog owner so please do not apply if you do not have great dog exprereice.
Dior is a gorgeous, large chunky girl with a heart just as big as her wiggly bottom! After being used for breeding and eventually finding herself dumped in the pound with her 10 puppies, this beautiful mumma has certainly earned her chance at a happier life.
She’s an affectionate, happy girl who greets her favourite humans with a wildly wagging tail, an enthusiastic wiggly rump and plenty of sloppy kisses.
She’s incredibly endearing, and it’s hard not to smile when she’s around.
Being a large girl, Dior sometimes forgets just how much space she takes up! Her enthusiastic tail and wiggly bottom can send the odd household item flying, so a home with a little room to move would be ideal.
At night, she sleeps soundly in her cosy bed in the garage, happy to recharge for another day of adventures.
Having had very little training or guidance in her previous life, Dior had quite a bit to learn when she came into care.
To give her the best possible start, she spent three weeks at doggy boot camp, building the foundations of good manners, engagement and basic obedience.
Since returning to foster care, we’ve continued working with her every day, and her progress has been wonderful!
Dior now knows:
Sit
Wait
Come
Drop
Waiting politely at doorways rather than barging through
Walking nicely on a slip lead or Halti
Checking in and engaging with her handler
She also enjoys walks on a long line and has developed good recall in environments with minimal distractions.
Dior can occasionally become a little fixated on other dogs when out walking, but she’s generally easy to redirect using her Halti.
She is still learning, and her new family will need to continue building on the fantastic foundations she’s developed.
The good news? Dior LOVES food!
She’s very food motivated, which makes training both rewarding and enjoyable. With consistency, patience and positive reinforcement, there’s plenty more this clever girl can achieve.
Dior has shown herself to be well-natured around calm, polite dogs of a similar size.
She is most comfortable with dogs who have good manners and don’t overwhelm her but do find she is more of just saying “ Hi” to other dogs and walking away rather than wanting to engage so for this reason we are seeking an only dog home for her.
She hasn’t yet been tested with small dogs, so her suitability with smaller canine companions is unknown.
As with any dog, slow and appropriate introductions will be important.
Dior enjoys getting out and about, particularly when it means a trip to the park!
She’s a great traveller and happily jumps into the car when she knows an adventure is coming.
Getting back into the car after her walk, however, can be another story! Dior occasionally decides she’s not quite ready for the fun to end and can show a stubborn streak.
She’s improving with guidance, and a tasty treat certainly helps with negotiations!
If there’s one way to Dior’s heart, it’s through her stomach!
She happily eats good-quality dry kibble and absolutely loves natural treats. She very keen or all sorts of raw foods including all the veggie ( except lettuce lo )
Her love of food is a huge advantage when it comes to continuing her education.
Dior has an easy-care coat that requires minimal maintenance. She is not overly excited about the water part but loves the shampoo rub when it comes to bath time.
Otherwise, she’s a relatively low-maintenance girl who enjoys a comfortable place to sleep, good food, exercise and plenty of affection
After everything she’s been through, Dior deserves a family who will love her for the beautiful dog she is.

People who will include her in their lives and appreciate her affectionate nature.
A commitment to continuing her training and building on the wonderful progress she’s made.
Daily walks, mental stimulation and opportunities to explore.
A calm, consistent environment where she can continue developing her confidence and manners.
An understanding that she’s a big, enthusiastic girl who is still learning how to navigate the world.
Because of her size and occasional enthusiastic jumping, a home with people comfortable handling a large dog would be best.
Dior has spent so much of her life being a mum, with little opportunity to experience the love, guidance and companionship every dog deserves.
Despite her past, she has so much affection to give.
She’s funny, loving, sometimes a little stubborn, occasionally clumsy, and always ready to share a sloppy kiss.
She’s not a perfectly polished dog, but she’s come an incredibly long way in a short time, and her willingness to learn has been lovely to watch.
Someone who will continue teaching her, laugh at her wiggly bottom, enjoy her big personality and give her the love and security she’s been missing.
Dior has spent enough of her life looking after others. Now it’s her turn to be someone’s baby.
