With his gorgeous spotty coat, beautiful brown eyes and cheeky little face, Duke is quite the handsome fellow. But don't let those innocent looks fool you — this boy has personality PLUS! 🤣
Cheeky, affectionate, a little bossy and full of character, Duke likes to think he's a strong, independent man. In reality, he's a big softie who loves attention, cuddles and being reminded just how wonderful he is!
And believe us, Duke thinks he's pretty wonderful already! 😂
❤️ A Little Fighter
Duke has overcome an incredible journey, including a serious cruciate ligament and meniscus injury, major TPLO surgery and rehabilitation.
Through it all, he's shown remarkable resilience and never lost his cheeky spirit or love for life.
🏡 Duke's Ideal Home
Duke currently lives happily with other dogs of different sizes and enjoys their company. However, we suspect he'd absolutely LOVE being someone's one and only!
Doggy playdates? Yes please! 🐕
Sharing his humans permanently? Well, he'd probably prefer to have all those cuddles to himself! 🤣
A home with another compatible dog would certainly be considered, but Duke would be equally delighted to be the centre of someone's world.
Duke is looking for a loving family who will include him in everyday life, provide companionship, appropriate exercise and enrichment, and understand his medical history.
He's equally happy enjoying an adventure or sprawling upside down on the couch without a care in the world!

After everything Duke has been through, he deserves the simple pleasures in life — a comfortable bed, a loving family, plenty of affection and the security of knowing he's finally home.

Adoption details
We want every adoption to be the **right match for both the dog and their new family**. Our adoption process helps us understand your home, lifestyle and expectations, while giving you the opportunity to learn more about the dog you are interested in.
**Our adoption process includes:**
1. **Application Form**
Complete an adoption application so we can learn more about you, your household, lifestyle and the type of home you can offer.
2. **Phone Interview**
Suitable applicants will be contacted for a phone conversation to discuss the dog, their individual needs and your application in more detail.
3. **Meet & Greet**
A meet and greet is conducted **in person**. All household members and resident pets are required to attend so we can assess compatibility and ensure everyone is comfortable.
4. **Adoption Approval & Contract**
If the meet and greet is successful and both parties are happy to proceed, the adoption will be approved and a **Diamond in the Ruff Rescue Adoption Agreement** must be completed and signed.
Our priority is not simply finding our dogs a home — it is finding them the **right forever home**.
