About Alvin
With his magnificent fluffy white coat, majestic good looks and beautiful nature, Alvin is a truly handsome boy with a heart just as lovely as his appearance! While he may be a little shy when you first meet him, there’s a very sweet and affectionate soul beneath all that fluff, just waiting for the right person to discover him.
While Alvin might take a moment to feel comfortable around new people, but there’s a very special way to win him over: a quiet moment beside him and a gentle bum scratch! Give Alvin a little patience, some soft affection and a chance to get to know you at his own pace, and you’ll soon find yourself on the receiving end of his lovely, trusting nature. Once this boy decides you’re one of his people, you’ll have a friend for life! And when Alvin starts feeling at home, he certainly knows how to let you know he’s happy. This gorgeous boy is an enthusiastic purr machine, with a wonderfully loud purr that can fill the room!
Alvin also enjoys a gentle brushing, making grooming a lovely opportunity to spend some quiet quality time together. With that beautiful fluffy white coat, a little pampering is a wonderful way to help him feel comfortable while strengthening the bond between you.
When it comes to feeling safe and settled, Alvin has a particular soft spot for cosy, cave-like beds. These snug little hideaways give him the perfect place to retreat, relax and watch the world go by while he adjusts to his surroundings.
Alvin would benefit from the companionship of a friendly, confident resident cat and is currently in foster care with his friend Jasper who is also available for adoption (profile here: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1220191). Having a feline friend around can help him feel more secure and give him a little extra encouragement as he finds his feet in a new environment. That said, Alvin could also thrive as a solo cat in a patient, understanding home where his people are happy to give him the time, reassurance and gentle support he needs to build his confidence. The most important thing for this lovely boy is a home where he can feel safe, settled and loved without being rushed.

Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
