About Raki
Gabriel is still deciding whether humans are trustworthy, but he does have one small concern: why is everyone else getting all the attention?
This adorable little white kitten might be shy, but apparently watching another kitten enjoy all the pats is enough to make him reconsider whether he's missing out on something wonderful!
At just five months old, Gabriel has already come a long way. He arrived at our shelter as a frightened little stray, unsure about being approached or handled. Thankfully, spending time in foster care has given him the opportunity to discover that people aren't so scary after all. His foster carer describes him as a very playful, energetic kitten who absolutely loves having fun. He's also started accepting gentle pats, especially when there's a delicious creamy treat involved. And occasionally, seeing his feline friend Bowie getting all the affection is enough to bring out a little jealousy!
Gabriel is still learning to enjoy human touch, and he's not quite ready to throw himself into everyone's arms. But that's okay! He's a young boy with plenty of curiosity and a playful little personality just waiting to shine. His new family will need to give him a quiet space to settle, approach him gently and let him decide when he's ready for more affection. Toys, tasty treats and lots of positive experiences will be wonderful ways to keep building his confidence.
There's something especially sweet about a shy kitten who wants to be brave but just needs a little encouragement. Gabriel has already made lovely progress in foster care, and we'd love to see him continue discovering how wonderful life can be with people who love him. He might take a little longer to win over, but every little step forward will make the friendship that much more special.
We encourage you to come and meet Gabriel at our North Melbourne shelter as soon as possible, as our cats cannot be placed on hold.
