About Moji
Don't be fooled my Moji's grumpy face. She is actually a total sweetheart. Moji was surrendered to the rescue because her previous owner is moving overseas. She is the sort of cat you can dedicate your life to.
She prefers the quiet life if she can get it, although she's pretty ok with anything. What she likes most is to hang around on or near her human and get pats and treats. She's a sleeper, and will happily snooze the day away. Occasionally she might bat a toy around if it takes her fancy, but don't expect zoomies from this one!
She has a very thick coat, and so she needs to be brushed fairly regularly. If you're worried about fur getting on your clothes, then Moji is not the cat for you! But she's so soft to touch! Patting her is a delight for all involved.
The house she previously lived in had lots of cats who she loved to hang out with. In her current foster home she gets along fine with the other cats, but she actually seems a bit scared of them. And she likes to graze on her food, which in a house with lots of other cats is hard, because she wanders back to her bowl, the food is all gone! She would be happy to live on treats if she was allowed. We actually think she'd be fine as an only cat.
Medical notes
Moji was checked by the rescue's vet and she has a grade 3 heart murmur. It doesn't seem to have caused her any issues up to now.
She also had quite a bit of plaque build up on her teeth when she arrived, and so has recently had a teeth clean at the vet.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
