About Quinten
Quinten is a male short-haired cat available for adoption in Madora Bay (Mandurah, Western Australia).
Quinten is a cat who loves a routine and the people who share it. Affectionate, playful and gently independent, he forms strong, loyal bonds with his favourite person.
He's independent enough to enjoy his own company and affectionate enough to seek out yours. When he does, the cuddles come on the couch, on the bed, wherever you are.
A little about Quinten:
🐾 Loves rubbing against your legs and asking for more cuddles
🐾 Adores cat grass and rolls in it while you pat him
🐾 Lights up at mealtimes, a big fan of his dinner
🐾 Loves keeping you posted on what he's doing with his day
🐾 Rolls onto his back for chin scratches, his favourite spot
Quinten's days have a comfortable shape. Mornings are for lounging in his bed, with a burst of playful energy when the mood takes him.
Midday brings a meal and a few pats, then it's back to his bed to relax. On sunny afternoons he heads outside to soak up the rays and reset.
His affection is specific and deliberate. A rub against your leg as you pass. A lap claimed once you sit down. A spot beside you, chosen on purpose.
He likes to come to you, and when he does, it means something. He'll let you know he's there, too, with a running commentary on whatever he's up to.
With new people, Quinten settles into a quiet spot of his choosing and watches from there. Give him space and a little quiet encouragement and you'll find he comes out in his own time.
A calm household suits him well. Car trips aren't his favourite, so a quiet, unhurried journey home will be appreciated. Loud noises and sudden movements send him to his safe space, so a door left open means it's always close by.
He's highly intelligent, loyal and low-maintenance, and he likes days that run on a familiar rhythm. He suits a guardian who reads a cat's cues fluently and enjoys one who is both loving and independent, whether young or elderly.
Picture a slow weekend. Quinten stretched out in a patch of sun, then padding in to claim his place beside you.
Quinten is ready. The cat grass, the chin scratches, the lap once you're settled and a guardian to share his days.
FAQ
Does Quinten like to be held? He loves a lap once you're sitting down, and he'll come to you for it. Picking him up isn't his thing, so let him make the first move.
How does he go with new people? He heads for a quiet spot first. Give him space and a little quiet encouragement and you'll find he comes out.
Can he spend time outdoors? He loves it, and he likes having a door open so he can step back into his safe space if a loud noise startles him.
What kind of home suits Quinten? A calm household with a steady routine and a guardian who enjoys a cat who is affectionate on his own terms.
Medical notes
Quinten is in good general health. He has Gabapentin, a prescription medication, on hand to help him through the move to his new home.
It's situational rather than ongoing. Quinten only needs it for a short time while he settles.
His patient history is on file and ready to be forwarded to his new guardian's veterinary team.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
