Hi, I’m Luna 💛
I’m a gorgeous 5 month old Golden Retriever girl — smart, affectionate, eager to please and full of all those very typical Golden traits!
But I’m looking for a fairly specific home.
My new family must have Golden Retriever experience and understand that behind the beautiful face is a clever, energetic young dog who needs structure, boundaries, training and plenty of appropriate outlets for her energy.
I’ve responded incredibly well to a more structured home and I learn very quickly. I thrive with a confident owner who provides clear leadership and consistent boundaries. I’m a clever girl who will test the waters if given the opportunity, so I need someone comfortable taking charge and showing me what is expected.
I have shown some resource guarding around things I consider very high value, such as socks and special treats. The really positive part is that I’ve responded extremely well to clear direction and will now leave those things with a simple instruction. My new family will need to confidently continue that training.
I also need another confident, playful and well-balanced dog in my home. They’ll give me an important outlet for my energy while also helping me continue to learn appropriate doggy manners.
I’m still learning to be respectful around cats, so any feline friends will need careful introductions and supervision. No pocket pets and no young children please.
For all my puppy energy, I do have a great off switch and can happily settle once my needs have been met. I’m also fine being left for reasonable periods, but a home where I’m regularly alone for 6–8 hours won’t be the right fit — I’m a young, intelligent Golden and may decide to create my own entertainment!
In the right environment, I really am a beautiful girl. When I have structure, clear direction and the right outlets for my energy, I settle beautifully, want to please and am an affectionate, clever young dog who genuinely enjoys being part of the family.
I don’t need a perfect home — I need the right one. Someone who understands Goldens, is confident enough to guide me and is committed to helping me become the wonderful dog everyone knows I can be. 💛

If you would like to express interest in adopting, please tell us a little about yourself, your family and home, and what you can offer one of our babies.
An Adoption Questionnaire will automatically be emailed to you after you enquire and must be completed as part of our adoption process. This helps us get to know you and the home you can offer. If renting, proof of approval for an animal at the property will need to be sighted, or a rates notice if you own your home.
Our aim is to find the best possible match for each of our animals, not simply first in, best dressed. Suitable applications will be passed on to the foster carer, and if we feel you may be the right match, you will be contacted by phone.
