Cabbage Patch has the kind of name that makes you smile before you've even met him. And once you see his adorable little face, you'll understand why it suits him so perfectly.

This gorgeous merle French Bulldog might be approaching his ninth birthday, but he's still very much in the business of making new friends and collecting admirers.

Cabbage Patch is a sweet, sociable little gentleman who absolutely loves human company. He'll happily approach people for attention, lean right into them for affection and occasionally get so excited about making a new friend that he jumps up to say hello. He's also been easy to walk on lead around the shelter, although sometimes he seems to have his own ideas about what deserves his attention. A little Frenchie with a mind of his own? Surely not!

He's also shown some lovely manners around other dogs, responding appropriately during his dog assessment and checking back in with his handler. Cabbage Patch may be suitable to live with another well matched dog following a successful meet and greet, and he's suited to a home with secondary school aged children or older. His new family can continue supporting him with gentle, positive handling and reward-based training to keep those good experiences coming.

Like many French Bulldogs, Cabbage Patch comes with a few extra things to consider when it comes to his health. These include his breathing (BOAS), bowed legs, some skin-fold changes and mild dental disease. One of our vets will talk you through his medical history, what it means for his everyday life and any ongoing care he may need before you decide to adopt him.

At almost nine years old, Cabbage Patch deserves somewhere comfortable to enjoy his next chapter, with people who appreciate his affectionate nature, his wonderful little face and all the character that comes with being him. He's already got the memorable name and the good looks. Now he just needs a family to call his own.
