About King 👑
With his magnificent mane, striking pointy ears and big, beautiful green eyes, King is an absolute showstopper! But as stunning as he is on the outside, it’s his beautiful nature that truly makes him something special.
King is the definition of a gentle giant. Incredibly friendly, easygoing, adaptable and affectionate, he’s a big, soft-hearted boy with so much love to give. And if there was one way to sum up King, it would be a big, lovable, floppy, roly-poly bundle of happiness!
King has the most adorable habit of dramatically flopping down wherever he feels comfortable, rolling onto his back, stretching out in all directions and sprawling around with his paws in the air. Whether it’s on the floor, couch or bed, this boy absolutely loves a good flop and roll! It’s his signature move and one of the many things that makes him so endearing. Even better, King is one of those rare cats who adores chest and belly rubs. Give him some affection and he’ll start purring away, practically melting into a big, fluffy puddle of happiness.
King also loves giving affectionate head bumps, his own sweet way of letting you know he likes you! Between his gentle purrs, loving head bumps and enthusiastic belly-up flops, this boy certainly knows how to make you feel special.
A true companion cat, King absolutely loves being close to his humans. While he’s not necessarily a lap cat, he wants to be right beside you, preferably with some part of his body touching yours. He’s happiest sprawled out next to his favourite person, enjoying a cuddle, a snooze or simply the comfort of being close.
He’s also the perfect bedtime companion! Wonderfully quiet throughout the night, King loves finding a cosy spot beside you or at your feet, where he can stretch out and peacefully snooze the night away without disturbing you.
Although generally relaxed and laid-back, King has a little adventurous streak too! He loves climbing his cat tower and finding the perfect high vantage point to survey his kingdom before returning to his favourite pastime of flopping and sprawling somewhere comfortable.
With his friendly and adaptable nature, King would be equally happy as a solo cat or sharing his home with other friendly resident cats.
King really is the whole package. Breathtaking looks, the sweetest temperament and a wonderfully affectionate, quirky personality. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who will fill your home with warmth, soft purrs, affectionate head bumps and endless adorable roly-poly moments, King might just be your perfect match.
Medical notes
During a veterinary examination, a Grade 2 heart murmur (on a scale of 1–6) was detected. This is considered a soft murmur that can be heard with a stethoscope. The presence of a heart murmur does not necessarily mean that the cat has heart disease. However, the underlying cause cannot be confirmed through a physical examination alone. Further investigation, such as an echocardiogram (heart ultrasound), may be required to assess King’s heart structure and function in the future. The adopter should be aware that ongoing veterinary monitoring may be required, and that further diagnostic testing, treatment or medication may become necessary in the future. By adopting King, you understand that you will be responsible for the costs of all future veterinary care and management required for this, including treatment related to this condition.

Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
