About Venus
• Time and patience needed
• Not suitable with young children
• Medium – High energy level
Venus is looking for a second chance after being returned to our care through no fault of her own. Since coming back to the shelter, she has shown us that she is a sensitive girl who can be quite nervous in unfamiliar situations. We are unsure how much socialisation she received in her previous home, as she is understandably wary of new people.
She is best suited to an adult-only home with someone who has the patience and understanding to help her build confidence at her own pace. Once Venus learns to trust you, she transforms into an incredibly affectionate and cuddly companion who simply wants to be close to her people. At this stage, Venus will need to be the only dog in the home. She is dog selective and is happiest when she doesn't have to share her space with another canine. We believe she will thrive in a calm, predictable environment where she can focus on building a strong bond with her new family.
With time, consistency, and plenty of positive experiences, Venus has all the makings of a wonderful companion. She is looking for someone who can see past her initial nerves and give her the secure, loving home she truly deserves.

Adoption details
Save-A-Dog Scheme operates as an adoption agency for our dogs and cats. We spend a substantial amount of time getting to know our animals and we try to match each animal's needs with the new home's needs. We don't work on the same principle as purchasing from a shop or on a 'first come first served' basis. When you visit us, you can be sure we'll do our best to work with you to help find the right companion animal for your home and lifestyle.
