About Rusty - 11 Month Old Dachshund X
🐾 Meet Rusty - 11 month old Dachshund x 🐾
Rusty is not your average Dachshund, whilst he can be a lil timid at first, this lil guy has loved every person and nearly every dog he’s met so far. Rusty is not reactive on lead and loves a slow sniff-ari to take in this brand new world that he is discovering. He loves adventures and happily travels in the car, he would make a great travel companion.
Rusty will need a family committed to continuing his positive socialisation. Rusty didn’t see much of the world until very recently so every experience to him is new. He needs daily walks and breed specific enrichment to ensure he grows to be the best he can be. Rusty can become anxious when he is without his people and for this reason, he is not suitable for a household where he will be left alone at home for long hours.
Rusty has gained confidence living with other dogs of various sizes, and will enjoy a doggy friend to play with or he would be happy being an only dog with his humans who make him part of their every day lives as long as there are plenty of experiences for doggy play dates. He’d be happy to go to the office or workplace with you, or be your lil sidekick relaxing at home.
He has not been tested with cats and will be suited to families with children over five years old who are dog savvy and careful of a dachshund’s delicate back.
