About Makhaya
Meet Makhaya!
Makhaya is a sweet and affectionate girl who loves spending time with her humans. She's energetic, toy-obsessed, and always ready for some fun, making her the perfect match for an active family.
She is highly responsive to food and will benefit from continued training to help her develop foundational life skills. Her ideal adopter will have experience with managing dog reactivity and be committed to helping her thrive through positive training and guidance.
As a large, strong girl, Makhaya can get a little excited and occasionally forget her size, so she'll need someone confident in handling her enthusiasm. For this reason, she is best suited to a home with adults or teenagers, or a dog-savvy family who can safely manage her strength and ongoing training needs. Makhaya would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the attention and be the centre of her family's world
With ongoing guidance and plenty of love, Makhaya is ready to thrive in her new home.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Burwood East site, adoption hours are 10am – 4pm. Walk-ins are welcome, and you can freely walk through our dog, cat and small animal adoption areas.
