About Nubsy
If you're looking for a dog who's ready to throw himself enthusiastically into every part of family life, then Nubsy might just be your perfect match. This handsome two-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback is a sweet, affectionate boy with a zest for life and a nose that never seems to switch off.
For Nubsy, the world is best experienced nose first. Every walk is an adventure, every garden holds mysteries to investigate, and every breeze carries exciting news that simply must be sniffed immediately. Whether he's exploring a new trail or conducting a thorough inspection of the backyard, Nubsy approaches life with curiosity and enthusiasm.
Despite his playful spirit, Nubsy already comes with a great foundation and proudly has "sit" mastered. He's eager to spend his days alongside his people and is wonderfully adaptable when it comes to family activities. Want a jogging buddy? Nubsy is keen. Looking for a companion to lounge around on a lazy afternoon? He's happy to oblige. Interested in spending an hour watching him enthusiastically follow a scent trail that only he can detect? That's probably his favourite activity of all.
Nubsy is looking for a family who will appreciate both his adventurous side and his affectionate nature. With plenty of opportunities for enrichment, exercise, and of course sniffing, this lovable boy will make a loyal companion who's always ready to join in whatever the day has in store.
If your home could use a little more fun, a little more laughter, and a whole lot more sniffing, Nubsy is ready to meet you. 🐾

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
