About Bodhi
Hi, I’m Bodhi! Your handsome, fluffy Cocker Spaniel best mate in the making!
I’m two years old, a very handsome man (if I do say so myself!) and I’m looking for a special home where I can feel safe, loved and understood.
I’m a sensitive soul with a big heart, and once I get to know you, I have plenty of love to give. I can get a little scared by loud or sudden noises, so I’d be happiest in a home with older children who understand that sometimes I need a little space and reassurance. When I get excited, I can be a bit jumpy, so little ones might find me a little overwhelming.
Here are a few things about me!
🍽️ I’m a clever boy! I’m very good at sitting and patiently waiting for my breakfast and dinner until I hear the magic word: “OK!” I’m pretty proud of that.
🐕 I’m working on my walking manners. The world is exciting, and sometimes I get a little carried away and pull on my lead. When other dogs bark at me, I can get overwhelmed and bark back. My foster carer is helping me learn how to feel more comfortable and confident when we’re out and about. I’m trying my best, and with patience and continued training, I hope to keep improving.
🛋️ Cuddles are my love language! If you’re on the lounge, there’s a good chance I’d love to join you. A good scratch behind my ears is pretty hard to beat!
🪮 My beautiful fur needs a little extra TLC. I have gorgeous, fluffy fur and long, soft ears, but brushing can be uncomfortable when my coat gets knotty. I need someone gentle and patient who will help me keep my coat in good condition without rushing me. My lovely long ears can also get wet in my water bowl or collect moisture when I’m sniffing my way through the grass on walks!
💗 I love having my people around. I’d thrive in a home where someone is around often to keep me company and help me feel secure. My foster carer has discovered that lick mats are a wonderful thing! They help me settle when I’m feeling anxious, including when people arrive home and I get a little overexcited. Give me something yummy to lick, and I can relax and realise everything is okay.
I’m still learning, and I know I’m not perfect. I can be sensitive, excitable and sometimes a little unsure of the world, but underneath it all is a boy with so much love to give.
I’m looking for someone who will be patient with me, celebrate my little wins and help me grow into the confident, happy dog I know I can be.
Could you be my person?
If you have the time, patience and love to give a sensitive boy like me, I would absolutely love to meet you.
Love and fluffy cuddles, Bodhi-
