About Ollie - 5 Year Old Dachshund
5 and ½ year old Tan dapple dachshund Ollie is the best friend everyone wants.
Ollie is loving and loyal and just wants to be where you are hanging out with his Besties. He is a great companion, very sweet natured has a beautiful temperament. He needs another small dog in his forever home for company.
Ollie is good with other dogs, walks very well on the lead. Unlike most dachshunds, Ollie doesn’t bark very much. He is a very calm and relaxed dog. He is not overly reactive when people come to the door and does not bark at other dogs when he passes them on the street on walks.
Ollie is great with kids 5 and over who are dog savvy and know to be careful with dachshund’s delicate backs.
Ollie loves being part of the action. If you’re going for a car ride he’d like to come too, trips to the park, he’s happy to be involved. Going camping, pack his bed he’s coming along as well.
Ollie loves company and would love to have another calm dachshund and people who treat him as part of the family.
Ollie has been on a weight loss journey since coming into Care and with exercise and careful monitoring of his food he is getting fitter and leaner every week. He will need his forever Family committed to continuing his fitness journey. He currently eats Lyka and will need to continue with a measured fresh food diet in his forever home. Ollie currently weighs 7.3kg and has a goal weight of 6kg.
Ollie is toilet trained, although may need encouragement in wet weather, typical to his breed. He sleeps through the night in a crate but is happy to join humans in their bed if allowed.
