About Lucy
If there is one thing Lucy loves, it's treats.
Actually, that's probably an understatement. We're fairly certain treats are Lucy's favourite food, favourite hobby, favourite topic of conversation, and possibly even the subject of her dreams. The last person to hand Lucy a tasty snack is immediately promoted to the position of Best Friend, and she's always on the lookout for opportunities to make more friends.
This lovely Labrador cross is a sweet, social girl who is eager to be involved in whatever her people are doing, especially if it might somehow lead to a treat appearing. Lucy already knows how to sit and will happily demonstrate her skills when snacks are on offer. Patience, however, is still a work in progress. She'll sit and wait... but she'll also make sure you know she's waiting.
When she's not busy imagining her next snack, Lucy spends her days at the shelter hanging out with her good friend Pancake. The pair enjoy each other's company, and Lucy has shown she's happy sharing her life with other dogs. She'd be delighted to head into a home with a canine companion, provided everyone understands one very important rule: Lucy's treat supply is not negotiable.
With her friendly nature, cheerful personality, and endless enthusiasm for reward-based interactions, Lucy is sure to bring plenty of laughter and love to her future family. Whether you're heading out for an adventure, relaxing at home, or simply reaching into the treat jar, Lucy will be right there by your side.
If you're looking for a loyal companion whose heart is almost as big as her appetite, Lucy is ready to meet you. Just don't forget the treats. 🐾🍖❤️

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
