About Elliot
Meet Elliot, a handsome medium-haired fluffy boy with a gentle soul who is learning that humans can be pretty wonderful after all.
Elliot is initially very timid, and we suspect he may have had some frightening experiences with people in his short life. When hands reach towards him, his first instinct is to cringe or try to escape. He is still learning that he is safe, and he needs a family who understands that trust takes time and patience.
The beautiful thing is that Elliot is already making progress! He is growing more confident and will happily eat from his foster carer's hand, even licking creamy treats straight from her fingers. These little moments are a big step forward for a boy who is still learning to trust.
When Elliot is fast asleep, he shows us a glimpse of the affectionate little boy hiding beneath all that fluff. He responds beautifully to gentle pats and chin scratches, relaxing into them and enjoying the attention. We suspect it won't be long before he discovers just how wonderful these things are when he's awake, too!
Elliot is very attached to his sister, Esme, and relies on her for comfort and reassurance. He will often call out for her when he doesn't know where she is, so having her nearby helps him feel safe as he navigates the world around him. This is why Elliot and Esme are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Esme is his familiar face, his comfort and his little guide as he learns to trust his new family.
Elliot is a great eater and has no issues using the litter box. He simply needs a calm, loving home where he can settle in at his own pace, without pressure or expectations, and discover that gentle hands bring lovely things like chin scratches and treats!
Elliot may need a little more time than some kittens to show you his beautiful personality, but he is already taking those first steps towards trusting the people around him. With patience, understanding and his beloved sister by his side, we believe this fluffy boy has so
