Harper is a typical working breed through and through. She loves her humans, is eager to please, and thrives when she has a purpose. She’s a very fast learner who enjoys being given a job to do, so she’ll be happiest with a family who can keep both her body and her brain busy.

Harper would thrive in an active home with plenty of space to explore and a family committed to meeting her physical and mental needs. A home with another friendly dog is a must, as Harper loves canine company!

As a typical working breed, Harper needs more than a quick walk around the block. She’s looking for a lifestyle filled with exercise, training, enrichment, and opportunities to put her clever Kelpie brain to work. Whether it’s adventures with her family or having a job to do, Harper will be happiest when she’s kept engaged.

Harper has also had brief introductions to cats and chickens and was unbothered and uninterested in both. While this is encouraging, any future introductions should still be managed carefully.

Harper is a clever, energetic girl who absolutely loves other dogs and chasing a ball! She’s still perfecting the art of bringing it back, but she’s got the enthusiasm part down pat.

She adores her people and is eager to please, making her a wonderful candidate for someone who enjoys building a bond with their dog and helping them learn new things.

Harper is crate trained, knows how to sit and shake, comes when called, knows to go into her crate when told “in your bed” She is currently working on coming into the house when called in - she gets hesitant coming through the door but once she’s in, she’s fine.
