Hi, I'm Oakley!

I'm a handsome young Bull Terrier x Catahoula mix with a striking white coat, a big smile, and a whole lot of potential. At just 6 months old, I'm still learning about the world and figuring out that new people, places and experiences aren't so scary after all!

I can be a little unsure when it comes to handling and unfamiliar situations, so I'm looking for a patient family who can help me build my confidence at my own pace. With gentle encouragement, positive experiences and lots of tasty treats, I'm already showing that I'm keen to learn.

I'd love a home with a well matched canine friend who enjoys energetic play and can help show me the ropes. I'll need slow, positive introductions to other dogs and new environments so I can feel safe and comfortable as I settle in.

There are a couple of special things about me that make me unique. I'm deaf, so I experience the world a little differently and communicate best through visual cues and positive reinforcement. I also have some non-pigmented skin around my eyes, nose and ears, which means my family will need to help me protect my sensitive skin from the sun.

Because I'm still building confidence and can be worried by unfamiliar situations, I'm best suited to an adults only home or possibly a home with older, dog-experienced children who understand how to give me space when I need it.

If you're looking for a fun, clever young dog to grow alongside and you're ready to celebrate all the little victories with me, I'd love to meet you. I may need a bit of extra support now, but I'm hoping my perfect people will see just how special I am.
