Maple is a gorgeous girl who has been through a lot, and now she’s ready to find a special home where she can continue learning just how wonderful life can be.

When Maple first arrived at Sydney Dogs and Cats Home, she was in a pretty rough state. She was timid, unsure of the world around her and in poor physical condition. Her skin was red, raw and irritated along her back, her ears were swollen, and she needed several lumps removed along with a few teeth. It was clear that this sweet girl needed some extra love and care.

Thankfully, with time, patience and support, Maple has started to discover that life can be fun! These days, she’s often found zooming around the yard with a crunchy treat proudly held in her mouth. Seeing her enjoy herself and let her personality shine has been a beautiful reminder of just how far she’s come.

Maple can get a little overexcited sometimes and may bark at her people when she’s trying to communicate. She has her own quirky ways of expressing herself, so she’ll need a patient and understanding family who are happy to learn her language and help her navigate the world at her own pace.

We suspect Maple hasn’t had the easiest past, and she’s still learning about all the good things life has to offer. She’ll need a home that can accept her for who she is, celebrate her progress and give her the time and reassurance she needs to keep blossoming.

Maple has had limited socialisation and will need to be the only pet in the home. She will also require an adult-only home where she can enjoy a calm, predictable environment.
