About Wanda
Little Wanda has come a long way since she came into foster care, and we expect she will continue to thrive in a settled loving home.
Miss Wanda is shy of strangers but responds well to tasty treats while she finds her confidence. This beautiful girl is a work in progress; she needs a home where she is initially given space to discover she is safe with incremental handling as the weeks unfold. She is not a straight into your lap sort of girl! With her cute head tilts you know she's listening hard and trying to understand.
Wanda enjoys the quiet company of her fur siblings and would be suited to a home with dogs the same size or bigger as she's not a fan of small dogs. A home where she is the only dog would also work for her as she thrives on one-on-one attention.
Wanda is inexperienced walking on a lead and can be quite resistant at the start so this would need slow training for short periods, although she is beginning to enjoy her brief stints smelling the neighborhood. In the meantime, Wanda is very happy with sun baking and following her people around the house.
Wanda will do well in a relatively quiet household and therefore we are looking for an adult home for her without children. A secure fenced yard with a covered outside area is also essential.
