Meet Bruce! 🐾

At just 5 months old, Bruce is a little Chihuahua cross with a big journey ahead of him! This sweet boy is still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place, and he’ll need a patient, understanding family who can help him find his confidence at his own pace.

Bruce can be shy and unsure around new people, unfamiliar sounds and sudden changes. He’ll do best in a quiet, calm, adult-only home where he can settle in slowly without too many expectations. Rather than rushing into cuddles or introductions, Bruce needs the freedom to approach when he feels ready and a cosy, safe spot to retreat to when he needs a little break.

Once Bruce starts to feel comfortable, his affectionate side shines through! He enjoys sitting on laps and snuggling up close to his trusted people. He’s still discovering the world around him, so gentle encouragement, tasty treats and plenty of positive experiences will help him grow in confidence.

Bruce isn’t particularly interested in toys at the moment, but he’ll benefit from enrichment, a predictable routine and reward-based training as he continues to learn. He has been calm and appropriate around other animals, although he may be best suited to a home with a calm, respectful canine companion if introductions are managed carefully.

Bruce will need a family who understands that building trust takes time and is happy to celebrate the little wins along the way. If you have a peaceful home, a kind heart and the patience to help a timid little pup blossom, Bruce could be the special companion you’ve been waiting for. ❤️
