About Coco
🐾 Meet Coco – Our Handsome Toy Poodle Boy! 🐾
Coco is a gorgeous 10-month-old male Toy Poodle looking for a loving, understanding forever home. ❤️
At just 10 months old, Coco is still very much a puppy, with plenty of learning, growing and maturing ahead of him. His new family will need to be prepared to continue his training and guide him through those sometimes challenging teenage puppy months.
Toy Poodles may be small in size, but they certainly make up for it in personality! They are exceptionally intelligent, affectionate and highly trainable little dogs. However, there are a few things potential adopters need to understand about the breed before falling in love with that adorable face.
🐩 Barking – The Tiny Security Guard
Toy Poodles are naturally alert and can be quite vocal. They will happily let you know when someone is at the door, a strange noise is heard or something catches their attention.
They're also clever enough to work out that barking gets a reaction from their humans! Without consistent training, this can quickly become a habit.
🐩 Big Brains in Little Bodies
Don't let their size fool you. Toy Poodles are incredibly intelligent dogs that need more than just a cuddle on the couch.
They thrive on mental stimulation, interactive toys, training and daily activities. Without enough enrichment, they can become overexcited, jumpy and sometimes a little frantic.
At just 10 months old, Coco is still learning how to manage all that puppy excitement, so patience and consistency will be important.
🐩 The Ultimate Velcro Dog
If you're looking for a dog who wants to be involved in absolutely everything you do, a Toy Poodle might be your perfect match!
These little dogs form incredibly strong bonds with their humans and often become their constant shadow. Privacy? What's that? 😂
However, this also means they can be prone to separation anxiety. Coco will need a home where his humans understand the importance of companionship while also helping him develop confidence and independence.
🐩 Grooming Is a Must!
Coco will require regular professional grooming, generally every 6–8 weeks, along with brushing at home to prevent painful matting.
Toy Poodles are not a low-maintenance breed when it comes to coat care, and grooming needs to be factored into the ongoing cost of owning one.
❤️ Coco's Ideal Forever Home
We're looking for someone who understands that a Toy Poodle isn't simply a cute little lap dog.
Coco is still a young puppy who needs guidance, boundaries, patience and plenty of love. His new family must be committed to continuing his training, providing mental stimulation and helping him grow into a happy, confident adult dog.
We want his new family to appreciate all the wonderful qualities of this intelligent little breed while also understanding the challenges that can come with them.
Coco isn't looking for perfection. He's looking for commitment, understanding and a family who will love him for the rest of his life. ❤️🐾
If you think you could offer Coco the wonderful forever home he deserves, please send us a message telling us a little about yourself, your home and your experience with dogs.
