About Mini or Dimi?
Meet Mini, a confident, curious and deeply loving 12-year-old girl who is ready to be the centre of someone’s world. This affectionate little queen looking for a home of her own.
Mini spent many happy years with an older gentleman until he passed away. She and his dog were left alone in the house for two days before kind people stepped in to rescue them. A nearby neighbour took Mini in and cared for her for a full year, but despite everyone’s best efforts, she and the resident cat simply could not share the same space, so they reached out to us for help finding her a more suitable home.
Fun fact: her previous owner must have believed she was a boy, because she was originally named Dimitri. The neighbour who took her in thought “Mini” sounded close enough to “Dimi,” and the name stuck. But this little lady is very much female, and very much in charge of her own story now.
Mini is affectionate, loving and wonderfully easy-going. She was ready for pats, cuddles and exploration almost the moment she arrived in foster care. One her first day she explored the entire apartment and decided her favourite spot was on the sofa next to her foster mum, demanding pats. She has settled instantly into having an apartment all to herself and is clearly thriving as the sole ruler of her little kingdom.
She is confident, curious and forms bonds quickly, the kind of cat who will happily keep a work-from-home person company, curl up on a retiree’s knee, or fit seamlessly into a family with older children.
Important: Mini needs to be the only cat in the home. She has lived with a dog before and we believe she would be fine with a canine companion, but other cats are a firm no.
If you’re looking for a warm, affectionate, low-drama companion who already knows how to love and is ready to do it all over again, Mini could be the perfect match. She simply wants a peaceful home where she can be the one and only, and she has a whole lot of love to give in return.
Mini is approximately 12 years old, has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is located in Burnley with her amazing foster mum.
Please get in touch if you think you can offer this sweet girl the solo kingdom she deserves.
About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
