If you’re looking for a greyhound with personality, affection and a few hilarious habits, then Madge might just be your girl! 🥰
Madge is one of those girls who wakes up every morning absolutely thrilled about life! She’s full of enthusiasm, loves her adventures and certainly knows how to keep her foster mum entertained.
💕 A Little Bit About Madge…
Madge is a very affectionate girl who loves giving kisses and plenty of licks! She even gets so excited sometimes that her whole body vibrates with happiness. ❤️
She’s also quite the little chatterbox! Madge makes the funniest chattering noises, especially when she’s excited.
🐾 Madge’s Favourite Things
📚 Reading: Madge considers herself quite the bookworm, although she occasionally prefers chewing the pages rather than reading them!
🧸 Interior decorating: Madge loves making herself a cosy toy bed. She also has a rather amusing habit of collecting her foster mum’s belongings and taking them back to her bed. She doesn’t destroy them — she just likes having her own little collection!
🐦 Birdwatching: Well… sort of! Madge loves investigating bushes to see what feathered friends might be hiding inside. Unfortunately, her enthusiasm sometimes turns into chasing, so she’ll need a home where birds and other small animals can be kept safely separate.
🚶♀️ Walkies: Madge absolutely LOVES her walks! She’s not one to spend ages sniffing every blade of grass. She’s got places to go and adventures to enjoy! She’s also lovely on the lead, with very little pulling.
💨 And one little warning… Madge can be a rather talented wind machine! Let’s just say she’s not always the most ladylike greyhound in the room! 😂
🏡 Madge’s Perfect Home
Madge is a happy, enthusiastic girl with so much affection to give.
🐾 Doggy companions: Madge could happily be an only dog, soaking up all the attention, or share her home with another medium to large dog.
🐕 Small dogs: Madge is still learning her manners around smaller dogs, so a home without small canine companions would be preferable.
👧 Children: Madge is good with children aged 5 years and older, making her a potential companion for a family with kids.
❤️ Patience and understanding: Madge will need a family who understands that settling into a new home and meeting new people takes time. Patient, positive socialisation will help her continue building her confidence.
A family who enjoys regular walks, appreciates a quirky personality and doesn’t mind sharing their belongings with a four-legged collector would be wonderful!
❤️ At 9 years young, Madge still has so much enthusiasm for life and plenty of love to share. She’s ready for her next chapter, filled with adventures, cuddles and lots of happy snoozes!

Adoption details
All BTG greyhounds are Desexed, C5 Vaccinated, Wormed & Heart Worm treated prior to adoption.
They have been fostered for a minimum of 8 weeks to allow maximum training and preparation for home life.
A post adoption trial period of 4 weeks is available to help families decide if the greyhound is the right one for them.
We also offer Foster to Adopt options for those who love the idea of teaching a greyhound in their home with the view to adopt it once it has "graduated" to Home Life status. This is a wonderful experience, to watch it blossom in your own home with your guidance and love. An ideal way to make sure this is the perfect dog for you.
