About Ellie
Introducing Ellie!
Ellie is a Domestic Short Hair born approx 24th August 2026.
This beautiful girl was brought into the facility as an unmicrochipped stray. This poor girl was stuck inside a drain before being rescued. Sadly, no one came looking for her.
Since being at the facility Ellie has been a delight to care for. She's incredibly affectionate, playful and her "purr motor" is very strong! We've noticed she's very much a fan of a chin scratch, but honestly she's just happy with any and all attention she gets.. she's also not afraid to tell you if you've ignored her for too long and she's got a big voice for such a tiny body.
Ellie can be a little fussy with what she eats, however her favourite foods are anything with chicken or tuna in it. She also loves her Temptations Spoon treats & Dine liquid treats.
There is one thing that we've found a bit odd, but also adorable.. she loves to sit in the sink and watch you go about your business..
While Ellie hasn't been tested with other cats since being with us, we believe she could be suitable to live with another cat, however she'd also love being the spoilt only "child" at home.
Ellie will be rehomed to a family who will keep her as an inside cat only.
Ellie is litter trained and would make a wonderful addition to most families.
If you think you could be that furever family for Ellie, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
*Please note that Ellie is still waiting to go in for her desexing appointment, and she won't be able to go home until this has been done.
Her adoption fee is $325 & this includes her desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. She is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Ellie is currently located in East Maitland.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
