# 🐾 Meet Alfie! 💙
**From a shattered leg to running around the dog park, this beautiful boy is ready for his happily ever after! ❤️**
Alfie is a gorgeous 2½-year-old Kelpie cross with a sweet, affectionate nature, a big personality and a whole lot of love to give.
This special boy has quite a story to tell.
Alfie came into SARG care with a badly broken leg that required major surgery, followed by months of veterinary appointments, rehabilitation and recovery.
Thanks to the incredible dedication of his foster carer and veterinary team, **Alfie has now fully recovered and is back to enjoying life as an active, happy young dog!**
He's once again enjoying his walks, outings and running around at the dog park, making up for lost time and embracing everything life has to offer.
And now he's ready for the best part of his journey... finding his forever family! 💕
🌟 **A little about Alfie**
🐾 **He absolutely loves people!** Alfie is a friendly, affectionate boy who enjoys human company and being involved in whatever his family is doing.
🐾 **He enjoys canine companionship.** Alfie has successfully lived alongside another male dog in his foster home for several months and has done wonderfully.
🐾 **He's an active, adventurous boy!** Whether it's heading out for a walk, exploring new places or having a run around at the dog park, Alfie loves getting out and about.
🐾 **He's also a bit of a couch potato!** After a day of adventures, Alfie is more than happy to stretch out on the couch and make himself comfortable.
🐾 **He's young and enthusiastic!** Sometimes Alfie's excitement gets the better of him, and he can be a little jumpy when greeting people. Continued positive reinforcement training will help him develop those all-important good manners.
🏡 **Alfie's ideal forever home**
Alfie is looking for a loving family who will include him in their everyday lives and give him the companionship, exercise and affection he enjoys.
He would thrive in a home where he can enjoy regular walks, outings, playtime and plenty of opportunities to burn off some of that youthful energy.
Having lived successfully with another male dog, Alfie could be a wonderful companion for another suitable dog, with introductions and a meet and greet to ensure everyone gets along.
His new family will need to continue working on his basic training, particularly calm greetings, jumping when excited and consistent boundaries.
As Alfie has not been tested with cats, his suitability for a home with feline companions is currently unknown.
Above all, Alfie deserves a home where he is loved, included and given the opportunity to enjoy being the happy, affectionate young dog he is.
💙 **Alfie's incredible journey**
For months, Alfie's world revolved around surgery, healing and rehabilitation. Through it all, he has shown just how resilient and affectionate he truly is.
Today, that chapter is behind him.
**From a badly broken leg to happily running around the dog park, Alfie has come such a long way.**
Now it's time for a future filled with adventures, comfortable couches, loving hands and a family to call his own.
Alfie has already overcome so much. All that's missing now is someone to share his wonderful life with.
**Could you be the family that gives Alfie the happily ever after he's been waiting for? 🐾❤️**

and email it to sarg.adopt@gmail.com

4️⃣ Adoption finalised once the right match is confirmed
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
