About Joane
*In foster care in Petersham, Sydney*
💗 Meet Joane - A Little Old Lady With a Big Appetite for Love 💗
Sweet senior Joane is 13 years young and has decided that life is best enjoyed at a slower pace, preferably with a full tummy, a cosy bed and a human on hand for a good pat. 🥹💕
Rescued from the pound, Joane arrived in care needing a little extra TLC. Her beautiful long coat was sadly matted, and her teeth were in a terrible state. But this lovely old girl has had her makeover! Her coat has been clipped, and she’s had major dental surgery, with all her teeth removed. She’s feeling so much happier and more comfortable now, and she’s ready to find someone who will love her for the precious little soul she is.
And before you worry, Joane would like you to know that having no teeth has done absolutely nothing to dampen her enthusiasm for food! 😹 She’s currently enjoying wet food, which she manages just fine, thank you very much. In fact, she’s such a foodie that she has two breakfasts and two dinners each day. A girl has to keep her strength up, after all!
When she’s not eating, you’ll find Joane snoozing contentedly in her bed by the window. Watching the world go by? Not particularly interesting. Having a lovely long nap? Now we’re talking. Joane has perfected the art of taking life easy, and honestly, we could all learn a thing or two from her.
Joane deserves to spend her golden years being someone's very special girl. ❤️
Could you be the person who gives this sweet senior the happy ever after she deserves? A warm home, a full food bowl, a comfy bed and a human who will come to her for cuddles. Joane also doesn't mind being picked up for a little cuddle either, check out the video evidence ;) It really doesn’t take much to make Joane happy.
She has so much love left to give, in her own quiet, gentle way. All she needs is someone willing to give her the time, patience and tenderness she deserves.
Please consider opening your heart and home to Joane. She may not climb into your lap or greet you at the door, but she’ll bring something just as special into your life: the privilege of giving a senior cat the safe, peaceful and deeply loved retirement every little old lady deserves. 🐾💗
Like all Maggie’s pets, Joane is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

My ideal home 🏡
Joane isn’t looking for adventures, a busy household or endless entertainment. She’s looking for a soft place to sleep, delicious wet food, gentle brushing, kind hands and someone who understands that love comes in many different forms. Sometimes it’s a cat curled up in her own bed, purring when you stop by to give her a pat. Sometimes it’s a quiet little companion choosing to sit beside you. And sometimes it’s simply knowing that an old girl who has had a difficult start is finally safe, comfortable and cherished. A quiet home is best for me!
My Energy levels 🔋 💤
I am an old gal. Snoozing is my favourite activity (after eating of course). I do like to have a little wander around my home but I am not looking to exert myself any more than that.
Suitability to children 👨👩👧
I think I would be best suited to an adult only home.
Suitability to cats and dogs 🐱🐶
I have not met any other animals since being in care but to be honest, I think I deserve to have a home with just my humans to dote on me.
Medical notes
Joane has had all her teeth removed but she happily eats wet food.
Joane has also had blood work completed with results consistent for a cat her age

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
