About Leo
Leo is a young, active boy who is still learning about the world and discovering all the fun it has to offer.
He has shown himself to be playful, goofy, and enthusiastic, always keen to get out and explore. Leo enjoys spending time with people and has a friendly nature that continues to shine as his confidence grows.
As a young dog, Leo will benefit from an experienced owner who is committed to providing ongoing training, enrichment, and plenty of exercise. With consistent guidance and positive reinforcement, he has all the makings of a fantastic companion. He settles well inside as well so can enjoy some couch time cuddles.
Based on what Leo has shown staff so far, he may be suitable to live with another dog, preferably a female companion. Any resident dog would need to participate in a meet and greet to ensure a suitable match.
Leo is looking for an active home that can help channel his energy, continue his education, and give him the opportunity to thrive. In return, you'll gain a fun-loving, entertaining companion who is ready for his next adventure.

Adoption details
The adoption fee for all animals is $79 + all veterinary costs which are determined once your animal is booked in for desexing and will be discussed with you at that time.
We encourage potential adopters to meet specific animals. If you already have a dog and wish to adopt another, we require a 'Meet and Greet' session at the facility to ensure compatibility. Please contact us to make an appointment.
All animals adopted from our facility come:
• Desexed
• Vaccinated
• Microchipped
• Vet-checked
• Lifetime registered in NSW
Please note that desexing (if required) is only performed after adoption, which may result in a delay in taking your new pet home, depending on vet availability. Staff will contact you once an appointment is booked, we kindly ask that you personally collect your new pet from the vet clinic to ensure they can begin their recovery comfortably in their new home.
For enquiries or to meet or adopt, please visit our website https://newcastle.nsw.gov.au/living/pets-and-animals/lost-and-found/lost-pets-in-ranger-care/animal-rescue-enquiry. Please provide the impound number listed next to the animal's name when enquiring.
For foster enquiries we will refer to one of our rescue partners where processes and approvals are at their discretion, please enquire to discuss further.
We do not offer trial periods for adoptions. Unless surrendered and the history is known, dogs in our care have not been tested with cats, so adopters should consider this carefully if there are cats in the household.
