👑 Meet Maeve, our warrior queen! 👑
Age – 3-4 years would be our best guess
Weight – approx. 32kg
When Maeve first arrived in the Village, she was timid and unsure of the big, wide world around her. Look at her now! ❤️
She has come such a long way, but Maeve will need a little patience and understanding as she continues to discover that the world isn’t such a scary place. New situations can make her a little anxious, so she’ll need someone to guide her gently, offer reassurance and help her build confidence at her own pace.
This beautiful girl was found wandering the local town with her puppies in tow, doing everything she could to keep her babies safe. Thankfully, a kind local took them in and made sure they were fed before they eventually made their way to the pound. ❤️
It’s clear Maeve did a wonderful job caring for her little family, but food must have been hard to come by in those early days.
So, when foster mum left her lunch defrosting on the bench, Maeve decided it was simply too good an opportunity to miss! 😂
A little message for her future family: keep those tempting treats out of reach! We suspect Maeve still believes anything left unattended on the bench is fair game. When you’ve experienced hunger and never known where your next meal is coming from, old habits can be hard to break!
Like many of our villagers, Maeve may be experiencing the comforts of home for the very first time. She’s still learning the ropes, and while she’s doing beautifully, she does look to her people for reassurance.
So, what else do we know about our gorgeous girl?
🏡 Home sweet home: Maeve has settled in beautifully and now sleeps peacefully. She would love a home where her people are around more often than not.
🐕 Four-legged friends: She’s made friends with her foster sister and loves a good zoom around the garden. She also did wonderfully on her first visit to the dog park!
❤️ A heart of gold: Maeve has the most beautiful nature and is blossoming as she discovers that life can be kind.
🦒 Legs for days: We now know exactly where her daughters got their supermodel legs from! Those long-legged beauties clearly take after Mum.
👶 Little humans: Maeve has met a child and was amazing.
😻 Cats: She met a cat at the vet and was mildly curious but not reactive.
Maeve has spent her time being a devoted mumma, putting her baby’s first and doing everything she could to keep them safe.
Now, it’s Mum’s turn to be someone’s special girl. ❤️
She deserves a family who will give her time to settle, celebrate her little wins and show her all the wonderful things life has to offer.
Maeve will be desexed within the next two weeks and will then be ready to head off to her forever home.

At Village Tails, we strive to make the adoption process as seamless as possible. We understand that bringing a new pet into your home is a big decision that will enrich your life in countless ways. How to Adopt: A Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Browse Our Selection: Visit our Animals page and use the menu to view the various pets we have available. Choose between cats and dogs to narrow your search.
2. Expression of Interest: Found a pet that captures your heart? Reach out to us for an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to initiate the process.
3. Patience is a Virtue: We meticulously review every EOI to ensure each animal goes to the right home. Thank you for your patience during this critical stage.
4. Meet Your Potential Pet: If your EOI is approved, we'll organise a Meet & Greet session. It’s a great opportunity for both you and the animal to see if it’s a perfect match.
5. Adoption Application & Home Review: If you're ready to move forward, you'll need to complete our adoption application and agree to a home review.
6. Review & Approval: Your application and home review will be assessed to guarantee a secure, loving environment for your potential pet.
7. Adoption Fee: Upon approval, you'll be required to pay the non-negotiable adoption fee. This fee directly supports our animal care efforts.
8. Welcome Home: Once the fee is processed, we'll coordinate the special day when you can bring your new pet home.
