About Ellie SUA015485
Meet Ellie, a stunning lady with a beautiful black coat and magnificent big eyes that are sure to melt your heart. Sadly, Ellie's world was turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away, and this sweet girl is still trying to understand why everything she once knew has changed. Naturally shy and timid, Ellie is feeling a little lost and unsure of herself, and she needs someone special to help her feel safe and loved once again.
Ellie isn't the type of lady who will rush into your arms or demand endless cuddles. She prefers a quieter approach to life and would much rather enjoy your company from a comfortable spot beside you on the couch while you watch a little TV or settle in with a good book. She's not one to be smothered with affection and appreciates having her own space and boundaries respected. A peaceful, predictable home without children or canines would be her idea of heaven.
This beautiful girl will need plenty of time, patience and understanding as she adjusts to her new surroundings and learns to trust her new person. Ellie has already experienced a big change in her life, and all she asks for now is a gentle human who will allow her to settle in at her own pace. If you're looking for a quiet, undemanding companion to share life's simple pleasures with, Ellie could be your perfect match.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
