About Merlin
Meet Merlin, the enchanting canine companion who is sure to bring a touch of magic to your life. This beautiful boy is on a quest to find a new family that can offer him the love, time, and attention he truly deserves. Sadly his current owner has been diagnosed with early onset dementia and is no longer able to look after him.
With his incredibly affectionate nature and gentle spirit, Merlin is the quintessential cuddle bug who thrives on companionship and warmth.
Though a little timid initially, Merlin's trust is easily won with patience and kindness. Once he knows you're devoted to him, he's eager to shower you with love and loyalty. He's an exceptionally quick learner and strives to please, making him a wonderful friend eager to join you on your adventures, whether that's a walk in the park, a quiet reading session, or even a road trip. In fact, he travels like a pro, finding joy in a serene car ride.
But Merlin isn't just about love and loyalty; he's here to add a little enchantment to your daily routine, whether it's cozy couch cuddles or playful jaunts in the great outdoors. If you’re ready to invite a touch of wonder into your world, Merlin is eager to cast a spell of joy and affection over his new home.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.

We only consider applicants that have completed our adoption application form. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1) Email and ask for an adoption application to be sent on farmdogzrescueinc@gmail.com
2) Check your SPAM FOLDER
3) Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form.
4) This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.
5) If you are successfully shortlisted, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a time for you to meet the dog in question.
6) A home visit will need to be conducted.
7) Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2-4 week trial period immediately.
8) The adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
9) During the trial period, we encourage you to follow all our instructions to ensure the dog settles into your family structure.
10) If during the trial period you should need any assistance or you decide that this dog is not for you, you MUST contact our state adoptions coordinator ASAP. (The more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available.)
Please note if the decision is made for you to return the dog, you will receive a refund of your payment within 10 business days of the return of the dog.
