About Lilly and Luca
Lilly and Luca were just four weeks old when they were rescued after being found living in the base of a tree in the height of summer. Having never encountered humans before, their journey to learning to trust us was only just beginning. We’re looking for what we like to call a “unicorn home” — someone who understands that trust takes time, won’t expect instant cuddles, and will give these two beautiful siblings the patience, love and space they need to continue to blossom.
So, without further ado please meet our stunning 10-month-old tabby siblings Lilly & Luca.
Luca is the more confident of the two. He can be shy around new people and unfamiliar situations, but once he feels safe, his curiosity takes over. He’s also quite the chatterbox, happily wandering around the house and sharing his thoughts on everything happening around him! His personality continues to blossom every day and has a beautiful gold glint to his tabby fur.
Lilly is more reserved, but she has come such a long way. She now actively seeks out her foster carer for affection, happily settling in for cuddles, purring loudly and enjoying gentle pats. One of her favourite sleeping spots is right on top of her foster carer at night — a beautiful sign of the trust she has developed. Lilly still looks to Luca for confidence, often following his lead when interacting with people. His confidence helps her feel safe enough to explore the world around her.
Lilly and Luca are wonderful with other cats and kittens, having grown up alongside several feline foster friends. They’re also living happily with a friendly dog. Because of their incredibly strong bond, Lilly and Luca must be adopted together. They’re looking for a calm, quiet home where they can settle in at their own pace, without too much noise or pressure. Their new family will need patience, understanding and no expectations of instant affection.
For the right person, watching these two continue to come out of their shells will be incredibly rewarding. Beneath their initial shyness are two beautiful young cats with so much love to give.
Their story began at the base of a tree. Now, all they need is someone willing to give them the time and love to write their next chapter — a happily ever after in a home of their very own.

Lilly (m/c number: 956000018410104) and Luca (m/c number: 953010008072891) are located in Bendigo and have been vet checked, vaccinated, desexed, microchipped and are up to date with flea & worm treatment.

Adoption Process and Guidelines
Important Information Before You Apply:
• We operate from a private residence located in Bendigo, Central Victoria.
• If you cannot proceed with the adoption within one week of submitting your application, we kindly request that you wait to apply until you are fully ready.
• Most of our communication is conducted via email. As our administration is managed by a single volunteer, we are unable to handle phone enquiries. If you do not respond to our emails or messages within 24 hours, we will move on to the next applicant. Please check your spam or junk email folder regularly to ensure you do not miss our correspondence.
Application Process:
Before completing the application form, please be aware of the following:
Interest expressed through PetRescue enquiries or other platforms, including email, does not constitute a formal application. Our application forms are specifically structured to allow us to assess each applicant fairly and efficiently against our criteria. To apply, please complete the relevant form linked in each animal's profile, providing as much detail as possible. This helps us understand the life you are offering to the pet. If your application is successful, we will contact you by email to arrange a meet and greet.
What Happens After Your Application:
• If the meet and greet goes well, you will be invited to proceed with the adoption, complete the necessary paperwork and pay the adoption fee.
• We offer a trial period to ensure both you and the animal are a good match. If the animal is returned during this trial, you will receive a refund in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the Adoption Agreement signed at the time of adoption.
• Even after the trial period, we remain dedicated to supporting your pet throughout its life. If your circumstances change and you need to return your pet—no matter how much time has passed—please reach out to us for assistance.
