About Roxy
πΎπ MEET ROXY β PROFESSIONAL CUDDLE BUG, KITCHEN SUPERVISOR & PART-TIME ZOOMIE QUEEN! ππΎ
If you're looking for a sweet little companion who will follow you around, keep your bed warm, supervise everything happening in the kitchen and occasionally surprise you with a burst of post-bath zoomies, then Roxy might just be your girl! πβ€οΈ
Roxy is a gorgeous 5 years and 1 month old Miniature Poodle who has retired from breeding and is now ready to enjoy the finer things in life. And by the finer things, we mean cosy beds, cuddles, tasty dinners and being wherever her favourite humans happen to be!
She is a quiet, gentle and affectionate girl who has settled beautifully into foster care. Roxy is discovering just how lovely it is to be part of everyday family life, and her personality is continuing to shine as she becomes more comfortable in her surroundings.
π YOUR VERY OWN LITTLE SHADOW
Once Roxy decides you're her person, congratulations β you've acquired a fluffy little shadow! She loves following her humans around the house and is particularly committed to kitchen duties. No meal preparation should ever happen without Roxy supervising, just in case a little something accidentally finds its way onto the floor. π
She adores cuddles and being close to her people. At bedtime, she is more than happy to snuggle up beside you, and once she's comfortable, she can be rather reluctant to surrender her spot!
After all, why would anyone willingly leave a perfectly cosy bed? Roxy certainly doesn't see the logic. ππ
π THE PRINCESS WITH A SURPRISING PARTY SIDE!
Roxy has a few princess tendencies. Those delicate little feet aren't particularly keen on getting wet, muddy or involved in anything too adventurous.
But here's the funny partβ¦
ROXY LOVES BATH TIME! ππ
Despite her reluctance to get her paws dirty, she absolutely enjoys having a bath. And once she's clean, fluffy and feeling fabulous, she sometimes breaks out into a glorious little burst of zoomies and silliness!
It's a short-lived party, of course. Once she's finished showing off her freshly bathed fabulousness, she returns to her usual calm and cuddly self.
πΏ FARMER'S FRIEND COLLECTOR EXTRAORDINAIRE
Roxy enjoys walks and exploring, but she has developed a rather unusual talent: collecting prickles in her beautiful curls!
Apparently, every walk is an opportunity to bring home a souvenir or two. π
Thankfully, she is a very good girl when it comes to brushing and patiently lets her humans remove her collection. Her forever family will need to keep up with regular brushing and grooming to keep her coat comfortable and looking gorgeous.
πΆββοΈ WALKIES, PLEASE β BUT NOTHING TOO EXTREME!
Roxy enjoys going for walks and exploring the world with her people. She walks well on lead, although she can occasionally get distracted by interesting smells and take her time getting from A to B.
She's not a high-energy girl who needs hours of exercise. A gentle walk, a little potter around the yard and plenty of cuddles afterwards suit her perfectly.
She also travels beautifully in the car, so she'd be happy to accompany you on little outings and adventures.
π§ LITTLE HUMANS? LOVELY!
Roxy has been wonderfully patient with the children in her foster home, ranging from 2 to 13 years old. She is calm, gentle and sweet around them, making her a lovely potential companion for a family who understands the importance of respectful, supervised interactions.
πΆ OTHER DOGS? YES, PLEASE!
Roxy gets along well with other dogs and has previously lived in a home with several canine companions. She is a lovely, easy-going girl who enjoys having company around her.
π± AND WHAT ABOUT CATS?
Roxy has been cat tested and has been living happily with a cat. She may occasionally issue a little growl or single bark if she feels the cat needs reminding who's who, but she has otherwise been comfortable sharing her space.
π A LITTLE NOTE ABOUT SMALL ANIMALS
Roxy has shown that she can have a prey drive around chickens. Although she initially appeared gentle and curious, she did chase and catch one before letting go. For this reason, she should not be trusted loose around chickens or other small animals, and any such animals would need to be kept safely separated.
π‘ LIFE AT HOME WITH ROXY
Roxy is mostly toilet trained and confidently uses a doggy door during the day. She has had a few wee accidents overnight, so her new family will need to continue reinforcing her toilet routine, offering regular opportunities to go outside and making sure she feels comfortable heading out after dark.
She has limited basic training at this stage, but she knows her name and has good recall to it. She responds well to gentle handling, praise and treats, so her new family will have a lovely opportunity to continue teaching her at her own pace.
Roxy is generally very quiet. Her biggest announcement tends to happen when her humans arrive home, when she may let out an excited little bark to say, "YOU'RE BACK!" π₯°
She has a wonderful appetite, loves her dinner and is very happy to be rewarded with tasty treats. Fresh chicken, a little BBQ treat and her evening meal are all excellent ways to win her heart!
π ROXY'S FOREVER HOME
Roxy is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy being someone's cherished companion. She doesn't need a family who wants a dog to go hiking for hours or play fetch all afternoon. She would much rather be included in daily life, potter around the house, enjoy gentle walks and curl up beside her favourite person.
She would suit a family who appreciates a quieter, affectionate dog and is happy to continue building her confidence and basic training with patience and kindness.
She may not be the loudest or most energetic girl in the room, but she has a beautiful way of making herself part of your heart. β€οΈ
So, if you're looking for a fluffy little shadow who will supervise your cooking, claim her spot in your bed, collect half the garden in her curls and occasionally turn into a post-bath zoomie machine, Roxy is ready to meet you!

Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email.
