About Cherry
Cherry is the sweetest little girl who is just beginning to discover what life is all about. After spending her life as a puppy farm dog, it’s been lovely watching her slowly find her feet and discover the simple things that make being a dog so special. And guess what? She’s even starting to find toys!
At 6.9kg, Cherry is a lovely little companion who adores her humans. She loves pats, cuddles on the couch and having a warm lap to curl up on. She’ll happily try to engage with her foster siblings in a game, although they haven’t quite caught on to her invitations just yet!
Cherry is still finding her confidence in the big, wide world. New noises on walks can make her a little wary, but she’s happy to say hello to other dogs and people along the way. She can feel anxious when her humans leave the house, but having other dogs around helps her settle.
She’s also still working on her toilet training, and the doggy door is a work in progress. Cherry will need a patient family who understands that these things take time and is happy to help her learn at her own pace.
Medically, Cherry has had her left eye surgically removed and is doing well. She has mild luxating patellas that don’t currently require surgery. Her ears need weekly cleaning and regular checks to keep them healthy, and she’ll need regular grooming to keep her coat in good condition.
What Cherry needs most is time, patience and love. She hasn’t had the chance to experience all the little things that make a dog’s life wonderful, but she’s getting there, one day at a time.
We’re looking for a loving home that will let Cherry grow in confidence, continue learning and enjoy all the cuddles she could ever want. Another friendly dog may be a lovely companion for her, and a family who is home a good part of the day would suit her well.
Cherry has so much love to give. She just needs someone willing to show her how good life can be.

Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in adopting through our rescue.
If you are shortlisted, a member of our team will be in touch within 7–10 working days. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unfortunately unable to enter into correspondence with unsuccessful applicants.
Shortlisted applicants will participate in a phone interview to help us assess the suitability of the home for the individual dog. The needs of each dog are our priority, and we will only proceed where we feel there is a strong match.
Successful applicants will have a meet and greet at a mutually convenient time with the foster carer. This will include introductions to all household members and any existing pets, as well as a property/fence check.
If all goes well, the dog may begin a 14-day trial period in the home to ensure the match is the right fit for both the dog and adopter. An adoption form will be completed and the adoption fee paid at this stage (fully refundable within the trial period if the placement is not suitable).
All relevant veterinary and adoption documentation will be provided upon successful completion of the trial period.
