About Charlie
Charlie is a 9 year old, female pug who is rediscovering the joy and fun in life. Charlie is a gorgeous, happy girl who is full of affection and enthusiasm for her next adventure.
Charlie came into care with stiff and wonky back legs, but this didn’t stop her giving everything her best shot. Part of Charlie’s mobility issues were caused by a lack of exercises and disuse. Since being in care, Charlie has regained some strength in her back legs with regular walks and playtime 🐾
She love love LOVES going for walks and the joy on her face makes everyone smile 😀
Her mobility is affected by an underlying condition involving her hind legs, but this has not yet been diagnosed. Charlie will need a low set house or someone willing to carry her up and down stairs as she is not safe navigating stairs by herself.
Charlie is a sweet and loving senior and enjoys discovering new people and being part of the family. She gets along well with her foster pug siblings and enjoys a bit of chasey play in the park. Charlie would love a family who are home often and will take her for daily short walks or playtime in the park.
Charlie is toilet trained but needs a family who will keep an eye on her toilet routine and take her outside for regular breaks.
Charlie is a special, sweet soul. She may need extra loving care given her mobility issues, but any inconvenience this may cause is more than compensated for by her sweet and gentle nature. Her happiness and funny little bunny hops bring joy to her foster family every day.
Medical notes
Not yet formally diagnosed but some issues with control of her hind legs.
