About Sophie
Meet Sophie! This sweet and gentle girl is searching for a calm, understanding forever home. While she may be shy when meeting new people, Sophie has a lovely nature and simply needs time, patience, and reassurance to feel safe. Once she settles in and learns to trust her surroundings, she begins to show her affectionate side and enjoys the quiet company of her favourite people.
Sophie would be best suited to a peaceful household with adults or gentle, cat-savvy teenagers who understand that some cats need a little extra time to come out of their shell. A busy or noisy environment may be overwhelming for her, so she is looking for a family willing to let her adjust at her own pace and build confidence in her own time.
Sophie would be happiest living safely inside where she can relax and feel secure, she'll also benefit from plenty of enrichment, including toys, scratching posts, puzzle feeders, and cosy resting spots to keep her entertained while her humans are busy.
With kindness, patience, and a quiet environment, Sophie will continue to blossom. In return, she will reward her new family with gentle companionship, quiet affection, and a truly special bond built on trust.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
